World Book Day 2006 - Quick Reads

World Book Day – held on 2 March 2006 – is fast approaching. As detailed in issue 15 of Update magazine, World Book Day this year focuses on adults and aims to encourage adults to develop a love of reading. As part of the initiative, a series of Quick Reads books aimed at adult emergent readers are being produced. The books are written by top authors such as Ruth Rendell, Maeve Binchy, Richard Branson and Joanna Trollope. The books retail at £2.99 and you can order £1 off vouchers for your learners by visiting the Quick Reads website. We are also producing a range of free learning resources to help teachers integrate reading activities into their teaching.
