Skills for Life marketing toolkit
NEW RESOURCE LAUNCHED
As we work towards the 2010 target of improving the basic skills of 2.25 million people, finding and engaging learners in Skills for Life learning is more important than ever. The national ‘Get On’ advertising campaign (featuring the 'gremlins' characters) plays its part, but colleges and learning providers also have a valuable role in publicising Skills for Life locally and recruiting new learners. To support this, the Get On campaign has produced a new marketing toolkit, replacing the last one which was produced in 2004.
As a learning provider, this toolkit is designed to give you ideas and inspiration regarding media relations activity you can carry out in your local area to promote adult basic skills and the courses you run. The toolkit also provides information on the resources and support available to assist you, including template press releases which you can adapt for your own purposes.
For the moment, the toolkit is only available electronically. We plan to publish a hard copy version later in the year in time for the autumn term, but in the meantime we'd like to hear your comments about the toolkit, whether it meets your needs and if there's anything else you would like to see included. To send your comments, please click here.
